OUR STORY

Honeybees are one of the most delicate natural resources in the world today. Our goal at Herel Park is to not only assist in protection and conservation efforts aimed at repairing the honeybee population, but also to educate and spread the knowledge of the impact that these incredible creatures have in all of our lives!

Not many people are itching to dive head first into a hive of 20,000 bees, but fortunately we have two individuals that have over 60 combined years of experience in doing just that; our lead apiarists Jeff Herel and Tomoko Nakashima.

With family roots reaching back through middle Tennessee for over four decades, Jeff is proud to call Tennessee home. His incredible knowledge of beekeeping is the foundation that Herel Park was built upon, and is not only invaluable to our family-run business, but is a major contributor to Beekeeping organizations across the Tennessee and the Eastern United States. Tomoko works closely with Jeff as they strive to promote the importance of honey bee conservation and best practices; you will often find Tomoko hand in hand with her camera as well, as she brings a knack for close-up photography through her efforts to capture the intricacies of the hive through film.

Bee-hind the Scenes

STRIVE TO HIVE
HPCO Bee Yards are spread throughout the Central Tennessee, and we are always looking to expand our serviceable areas. If you're interested in potentially hosting one of our yards to assist in pollination efforts for your land, or if you would like to simply help the expansion of honeybees in your immediate area, please Contact Us
THE PROCESS
With state of the art equipment and Tennessee State certified processing facilities, HPCO produces 100% pure, raw, unpasteurized honey and honey based products. Because our honey is produced directly from our hives here in Central Tennessee, it is all encompassing of the numerous blooms from across the state, including Clover, Tulip Poplar, Black Locust, and many more. Due to the unpasteurized process that we take in our bottling and production, these blooms are captured and flow throughout the rich texture of our honey. We encourage you to look into the health benefits that come with consuming local pure raw honey!
HPCO IN THE COMMUNITY
We currently serve a number of small businesses, including multiple farmers markets, breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, and salons. Our products are finding a home in many growing businesses today; if you're interested in stocking our premium honey products or are looking for a custom order, we would love to hear from you through our Contact Us page. We have many exciting updates coming to our website, including both our participation in local farmers markets and a listing of our vendors. We would love to hear from you!
